Pratham's Adult Literacy classes aim at imparting reading skills to females 15 years and older. This has become an invaluable step in endowing these women with self-confidence and encouraging them to take an active role in the education of children in their families at home, and in school.

If you enjoyed the colourful dance performances at Pratham Canada's 2007 fund-raiser on Mothers' Day, we have another treat in store for you this Spring!

Announcing ‘THE COLOURS OF INDIA,’ Pratham Canada's 2008 Spring Festival of Dance, at the Kailash Mital Theatre (formerly Southam Hall) at Carleton University on Sunday June 8, from 5.30-7.30 PM.

Please mark your calendars so you won't miss this spectacular showcase of local talent, all for a worthy cause: supporting primary education for millions of slum children in India. Last year you helped raise enough money (approx. $ 6000.00) to send 400 kids to school for a year. With your continuing support we can do even better this year!
