Volunteer
Pratham is a citizens’ movement which has drawn people from all walks of life and many parts of the world. The Pratham team consists of thousands of women volunteers from the communities – who are the main engine – as also social workers, activists, PhDs, MBAs, CAs, civil servants, bankers, corporate professionals, consultants, academics etc.
Pratham Canada has already facilitated the involvement of several Canadians who had expressed interest in working with Pratham India, in fields as diverse as teaching, legal help, videography, etc.
You can assist Pratham by volunteering your time, skills and special expertise to
- raise awareness about Pratham, its mission and its various programs
- work with Pratham staff and volunteers in the field to develop educational materials, undertake surveys to assess the efficay of program delivery, provide legal support for child-labour initiatives, document videographically the life of slum children, their progress under Pratham programs and the work of volunteers, and so on.
- assist with the updating of website material
- prepare newsletters or media communication strategies
- play a leadership role in managing Pratham Canada’s operations in the city or region of your choice.
Please discuss your interests with us and we are confident we can find something that appeals to your area of interest.
