Pratham Canada, the Canadian branch of Pratham India Education Initiative (PIEI), is a Canadian registered charity that supports the activities of Pratham India by:
  • raising awareness about Pratham's mission, goals and objectives,
  • disseminating information about its societal impact and accomplishments,
  • raising funds for its various activities,
  • facilitating the involvement of volunteers in various aspects of Pratham's operations,  and
  • exploring collaborative opportunities with Canadian institutions and agencies (public and private) with similar interests.

Pratham Canada was formed in Ottawa in October 2004 as a non-profit corporation and received its designation as a federally registered charity in 2006.

Pratham Canada is supported entirely by donations and is a non-partisan and non-denominational organization without any political, religious or ideological affiliations.
